Buick is coming back into the workshop next week. Dave & Phil are keen to get on with the restoration.

First jobs on the list are to take the radiator off to replace a weeping core plug that we missed last year, investigate the water escaping from the water pump, make gaskets for the valve chest covers.
We also need to look at the control cables on the carb, the accelerator didn’t work very well, not enough travel.
Just heard some sad news, Ray Butcher, who did all the original restoration work, has died in a motorcycle accident in Spain. Ray had been following this blog and was pleased to see that the Buick was running again.

Buick is back in the workshop, and we are keen to get on with the restoration.
Me & Dave & Ken hired a trailer for the day and the loading and delivery went perfectly, with Dave’s expertise in reversing trucks and trailers making it seem easy.
We fitted a new knee to Little Phil over Christmas, and he is now running it in, slowly.

Buick is standing in the workshop ready for attention, but too many motorcycles in the queue at the moment, unfortunately.
And little Phil’s Knee has got to go back for tweaking early in May.
Hi Phil,
nice to see the Buick moving again, keep the enthusiasm
Magic.
Greetings Philip , can’t wait for you to get the old girl down to South Wales……..Brecon Beacons…….even the Gower……..
Hi Andrew

Hope Little Phil gets fully restored quicker than the Buick – need him fit for the Bristol Classic Bike Show next month
