44 – April 16 ready for paint

Body building is almost complete, and Martin is starting to paint.

We lifted the pickup bed off for painting, and finishing of the back of the cab, and we are nearly ready to put the bed back on.

Dave & Ken & Martin have made a great job of fitting the bonnet latches. Once the bonnet is fitted nicely, we will take it off for blasting & painting.

Ken offered up the front wings, and Dave dismantled the bonnet. Both have gone for blasting. The wings might need repairing before they are stove enamelled.

Martin & Phil painting the scuttle

Every day is a leap forward. This is the first time in the 7 years we have had the Buick, that the scuttle has had paint on it. Probably the first time since 1928 it has been re-painted.
